The CDCR is the agency responsible for all inmates who are in a state correctional detention center. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation ensures that all inmates in their custody will be secure and safe in their facilities.

All inmates in the CDCR will have program they can use to help their rehabilitation process while they wait to get paroled or go on probation. However, the CDCR is also responsible for the probation and parole programs alongside their state facilities.

All correctional officers whether they work in a facility or not will be responsible to undergo training every so often to ensure that they are handling procedures and protocols with the most updated versions possible.
