The District of Columbia Department of Corrections is one of the few offices that will take responsibility for the state-operated correctional facilities. As we know, the District of Columbia is not that big, but when it comes to the corrections department, it is always extremely busy.
The main mission here in the District of Columbia Department of Corrections will be to ensure that all residents are safe and secure when they are moving about the territory, while also ensuring that its offenders are also safe and secure in the facility that is designed for them.
The District of Columbia Department of Corrections was officially founded back in 1946. The DOC not only uses the District Prison, but they use many more various offices throughout the territory as well.
On any given day the DOC here in the District of Columbia will have 1,700 offenders in their custody. Majority of these offenders will be males.
