The Dupage County Sheriff’s Department manages and operates the DuPage County Jail. Keeping and maintaining an up to date database of all current inmates is a big responsibility. That is what the Dupage County Sheriff's Department does.

Sending a Mail
The DuPage County Jail inmates are allowed to get written letters in the mail from their family and friends. For safety reasons, all letters are examined by the jail employees when they arrive. The letters will be passed out to the inmates after the staff checks all the mail.
The DuPage County Jail inmates are allowed to get books, newspaper and magazines. The books, newspaper and magazines are required to be delivered directly from the bookstore or publisher to the jail. All books sent to the jail will need to be new and paperback. All used and hardcover books are not allowed. Used and hardcover book will be sent back to the sender if they are sent to the jail.

Sending Money
The DuPage County Jail inmates will need money to buy day to day life items from the commissary. If you want to fund an inmate's account you can do so by logging onto www.inmatecanteen.com.
In order to transfer funds into an inmate's account, you will need to create an account. However, there is a fee to use this service but you will be able to see it before you make a deposit.
Cashier’s checks or money orders can be sent as well. Make sure Cashier's checks and money orders items payable to the inmate's name. You will need to send them to the address listed below:

Phone Calls
The DuPage County Jail inmates are not allowed to get phone calls from their family or friends. During phone time, inmates are allowed to call their family and friends. Inmates are limited to 15-minute phone calls. The call will be terminated when the 15-minutes is over.
The DuPage County Jail inmates are allowed to only make collect calls. Inmates are only able to call those who have a landline. Inmates will not be able to call those who have a cell phone. The one receiving the collect call is the one responsible for any and all fees that are associated with the collect call. DuPage County Jail isn't accountable for any fees associated with the collect calls.
Visiting Rules
The DuPage County Jail inmates are allowed to have visitors. All visitors under the age of 18 are allowed to visit, however, they will need to be with their legal guardian. You will need to show either your driver’s license, state identification card, or their United States Passport before you are allowed in the visitation area.
Personal belongings are not allowed in the visitation area so make sure you leave all that in your car.
