Sending a Mail

The Natchitoches Parish Detention Center inmates are allowed to get written letters from their family and friends in the mail. For safety reasons, all letters get inspected by Natchitoches Parish Detention Center employees when the letters arrive. The letters will get pass out to the correct inmates after they get checked. 

When you send items to the prison along with your letters, there are a number of things you are not allowed to send. Here is a list of items that are not allowed:

Inmates at the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center who isn't a level 1 or a 2 can receive books, magazines, and newspapers as well. The books, magazines, and newspapers will need to be sent directly from the bookstore or publisher to the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center. All books being sent to the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center will have to be new and paperback. Any and all used and hardcover books are not allowed. Books will be sent back to the sender if they are hardcovered or used.

Sending Money

Inmates at the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center will need money to make purchases at the commissary. There are several different ways you can deposit funds into an inmates account. 

Kiosk

At the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center, there is a kiosk at the TouchPay Kiosk that you can during normal business hours. You can deposit funds using your debit card, Credit card and cash. 

Online

You can also go online to TouchPay and deposit money there if that is more convenient for you. 

By Phone

With your credit or debit card, you can also call TouchPay. 

Phone Calls

Natchitoches Parish Detention Center inmates are not allowed to get phone calls from their family or friends. During phone time the inmates are allowed to call their family and friends. The inmates are only allowed to have 15-minute calls. The call will be disconnected when the 15-minutes is up. 

Calling features such as three-way calling and call forwarding are prohibited for the inmates to use. The call will be disconnected if an inmate is caught using any of these calling features. Disciplinary action will be taken against the inmate. 

The Natchitoches Parish Detention Center inmates are allowed to make collect calls only. Only individuals who have a landline phone can receive collect calls. Ones who only have cell phones will not be able to get these collect calls. The individual receiving the collect calls is the one responsible for any and all charges that are associated with the collect calls. of the call is the one responsible for any and all charges associated with the collect calls. The Natchitoches Parish Detention Center is not responsible for any and all charges from the collect calls.

Visiting Rules

The Natchitoches Parish Detention Center inmates can have visitors. All visitors under the age of 18 are allowed to visit, however they will need to stay by their legal guardian. Before you are allowed to visit you will need to show either your driver’s license, state identification card, or your United States Passport.

Make sure you put all your personal belongings in your car. You are not allowed to bring any of your personal belongings to the visitation area.
