Sending a Mail

Writing your return address is a good idea when sending an inmate mail, just in case you accidentally send something that is not allowed.

Sending Money

The Broome County Sheriff's Corrections Division inmates will need money to make purchases from the commissary. The Broome County Sheriff's Corrections Division offers several different ways for friends and family to deposit funds into an inmate’s account.

Phone Calls

Broome County Sheriff's Corrections Division inmates are not allowed to receive phone calls from their family or friends. Although, during phone time the inmates are allowed to call their family and friends. The inmates are limited to 15-minute calls. The call will be terminated when the 15 minutes is over.

Calling features such as three-way calling and call forwarding are prohibited for the inmates to use at the Broome County Sheriff's Corrections Division. The call will be disconnected right away if an inmate is caught using any of these features.

Visiting Rules

At the Broome County Sheriff's Corrections Division, inmates are allowed to have visitors. All visitors under the age of 18 will be allowed to visit, however, they will need to stay with their legal guardian. Before you are allowed to visit, you will be required to present either their driver’s license, state identification card, or their United States Passport.
