Sending a Mail

Sending Money

The Carrizales-Rucker Cameron County Detention Center inmates will need funds to make purchases at the commissary. Funds will also be needed in order for inmates to make phone calls to their friends and family.

Phone Calls

The Carrizales-Rucker Cameron County Detention Center inmates are not allowed to get phone calls from their family or friends. During phone time inmates are allowed to make phone calls to their family and friends. The inmates are limited to 15-minute phone calls. The call will get terminated as soon as the 15-minutes is over.  

Calling features such as three-way calling and call forwarding are forbidden for the inmates to use. If an inmate is caught using any of these features the call will get disconnected and disciplinary action will be taken up against the inmate. 

The Carrizales-Rucker Cameron County Detention Center inmates are allowed to only make collect phone calls. You will only be able to receive a collect call from an inmate from a landline phone. However, you will not be able to receive any collect calls from a mobile phone. The individual receiving the collect call is the one responsible for and all fees associated with the collect calls. The Carrizales-Rucker Cameron County Detention Center is not accountable for any and all charges associated with the collect calls.  

Visiting Rules

Inmates in the Carrizales-Rucker Cameron County Detention Center are allowed to get visitors. You will need to find out what the visitation hours are by talking to an inmate if you would like to visit them. Visitation hours are not released by the jail employees for the inmates. You will need to get that information on your own from an inmate.   

Before you are allowed in the visitation area you will need to present your driver’s license, state identification card, or your United States passport. 

Make sure to leave all your personal belongings in your vehicle. Any personal belongings are not permitted in the visitation area.    

The jail has a strict dress code that must be followed when you are visiting. Please refrain from wearing the articles listed below:

  • See Through clothing
  • Offensive clothing

You will not be allowed in the visitation area if you are wearing any of the forbidden clothing. You will not be allowed to go in the visitation area if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol as well. The jail staff can refuse a visitation for any reason without notice.
