Sending a Mail
The Wharton County Jail inmates are allowed to get written letters in the mail from their family and friends. All letters that are sent to the jail are checked by the jail employees before they are handed out to the inmates.

The Wharton County Jail inmates are not allowed to get phone calls from their family or friends. During phone time inmates are allowed to make phone calls to their family and friends. The inmates are limited to 15-minute phone calls. The call will get terminated as soon as the 15-minutes is over.
Calling features such as three-way calling and call forwarding are forbidden for the inmates to use. If an inmate is caught using any of these features the call will get disconnected and disciplinary action will be taken up against the inmate.

Visiting Rules

The jail has a strict dress code that must be followed when you are visiting. Please refrain from wearing the articles listed below:

- Offensive clothing
You will not be allowed in the visitation area if you are wearing any of the forbidden clothing. You will not be allowed to go in the visitation area if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol as well. The jail staff can refuse a visitation for any reason without notice.
